hefs Donnie Ferneau and Andre Poirot heated up the Peabody
Little Rock Ballroom as they competed for the title- and bragging
right- of Diamond Chef Arkansas. Nearly 400 people attended the
fast-paced culinary competition, sponsored by the Pulaski Technical
College Foundation. The event raised an estimated $70,000 for Pulaski
Tech ‘s Culinary School. Jim Montgomery, Kelley Bass and Chef Edward
Hornyak served as judges for the Diamond Chef event, which was
based on the format of the popular Iron Chef series. Peabody General
Manager Gregg Herning served as special event chair. In the end,
Donnie Ferneau won the title of Top Chef.
