In the Conway Spotlight Hilton Garden Inn
For Conway, Arkansas times are changing.
Just a few years back, the town began building
on its already solid infrastructure to further appeal
to the families and college kids it attracts.
Now, the Conway economic boom is impacting
the town as a viable tourist destination, so it’s
quite apropos that a hotel of the Hilton-caliber
would spring up to accommodate the growing
need. The Hilton Garden Inn Conway Arkansas
(HGI) hotel is located within the city’s largest
shopping district and only minutes from the
industrial park and many restaurants. Major
nearby corporations include Acxiom, IC Corporation,
Kimberly Clark, Southwestern Energy
Company, and Snap-on Tools. Additionally
the HGI is located within close proximity of the
three colleges: University of Central Arkansas,
Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College.
At the HGI, banquet space can accommodate
up to 150 people based upon set-up with fullservice
catering available to meet any need that
you may require. In addition to their banquet
space the hotel offers the Magnolia Room that
can impress any client for a smaller more intimate
setting. In fact, the hotel event staff is constantly
revamping to accommodate the growing
special events demand. The event staff, led
by Director of Sales Anna oberste, is constantly
twirling apace with jam-packed schedules. For
holidays and other occasions, such as Christmas,
Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day- you name
it- the in house restaurant Great American
Grill cooks up for traditional-styled meals with

multiple seatings. Not surprisingly, with their
widely varied menu and delectable American
style cooking, Conway and other central Arkansas
residents are often spotted on any given
day taking advantage of the delicious meals at
the Great American Grill. The fact that it is one
of a few spots, and the only hotel, in the area
that has a liquor license doesn’t hurt, either.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner
and is open continuously from 6:00am to
11:00pm daily, and the staff at HGI are ready
and waiting to feed and entertain your family.
But their home-grown (or should we say
Hilton Garden-grown) hospitality doesn’t stop
there. HGI Conway offers an entire range of
special events options. Little Rock, Conway,
and other area residents are utilizing the premier
space for weddings and wedding receptions,
baby showers, corporate meetings, and
even Sweet 16 parties. UCA has twice hosted
homecoming activities in the space. “People
can use as large or as small of a space they need
to accommodate their event. You can even
rent out the whole restaurant and lounge, as
well the ballroom for party style events if you
want!” Party style events can accommodate
about 225 attendees, while seated banquets top
out at about 115 folks.
And if you’ve ever even been inside the
lobby of HGI Conway, you know why so many
folks select this space to party or entertain. It’s
not donned in your typically bland and dated
décor. The lobby and events spaces are chic and

beautifully decorated. With calming blues and
greens and rich browns accenting the oversized
plush furniture, the intersection of classic and
modern style undoubtedly appeals to a variety
of tastes. Marked with wooden pieces and cool,
brushed metals, the atmosphere echoes the Zen
of home. You have peace, not conflict, with the
furnishings and design elements at the HGI. In
fact, one could imagine most of the décor fitting
perfectly into a residential living room,
making you feel at peace and grounded with
your surroundings.
Each of HGI Conway’s 103 rooms is decorated
in a similar motif, with tastefully framed
floral and other organic-like prints. And the
beds? A dream. Literally. Each standard evolution
room has either one king bed or 2 queen
beds with the comfortable Garden Sleep System
bedding. It’s like resting on a cloud. Additionally,
all rooms come equipped with refrigerator
and microwave, coffeemaker, iron,
ironing board, and hair-dryer. A spacious work
desk (with two phones!) and with wireless and
wired Internet access, as well as a complimentary
business center offer unparalleled access.
Finally, an indoor pool with whirlpool, exercise
facility, guest laundry facilities, and arcade
are also available.
If business or pleasure takes you to the Conway
area, there is no question on where to host
