Bolo Bash is Whistlin’ Dixie
E ach spring, the Baptist Health Foundation plays host to “Bolo Bash”, the
organization’s best known fundraising event of the year. The proceeds
from this event are substantial, and are appointed to a specific community
need. This year’s proceeds have been conferred upon the Hospital’s transplant
program. Several events, including a private dinner reception, sponsored by
Pat and Bill Carlton, with actress Dixie Carter, were precursors to the Bolo
Bash luncheon. Dixie Carter, accompanied by her husband Hal Holbrook,
addressed the nearly sold out crowd during the noontime celebration. Cochairs
for the event were Penny Burkhalter and Carol Stephens.
